Quite disturbingly I have noticed that everytime I concentrate on my breathing, try to breathe deeper, it gets harder for me to breathe.
I get worried and quickly stop focusing on it and do something else.
But I also remember how as a kid the blinking of my eyes would worry me too.
The more I would be aware of it and focus on it, the more uncomfortable it would get and I would obsessively blink and it would become a task.
In that moment I would be so worried that I will forever have to focus so much on my blinking and still never get it quite right.
I guess moving on is a little like that.
The more you focus on it, the harder it gets.
But if you focus on other things, it gets easier.
You’re still breathing, you’re still blinking… you’re moving on.
I know this may sound odd but one of the best feelings in the world is when u finally fall out of love with someone who hurts u. When u can think of them and feel nothing. It’s like waking up from the darkest nightmare, and realizing u can survive anything.
